Jacqui Verellen is a country singer/songwriter from small town Kent Bridge, Ontario.
She began song writing and singing at the age of 5, and since then has won over 75 different vocal, acting, choral, dance and songwriting competitions. From a young age, Jacqueline enjoyed spending time after school dabbling by ear, and began teaching herself how to play multiple instruments, such as guitar, piano, ukelele and flute. She remembers having a restless passion for music and song and constantly taking any opportunity to enjoy it.

Jacqui's family is grounded in country music, which she believes inspired her young ears to begin singing. Her entire family has always been musical, and she has had countless amazing teachers that have helped her to develop her creativity. Although operatically trained, Jacqui's passion has always been in country. She has played many Theatrical Canadian roles such as Fantine in Les Mis, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, and most recently Cinderella in Into the Woods.

Jacqui has notably been runner up in the CBC songwriting competition 2016, the Canada wide Youth talent search, Western Voice, and a top 12 contestant in CMT'S songwriting competition

She was the overall vocal and acting winner of CMTC's Canada wide contest in Toronto Ontario, where she won best commercial, best singer, best monologue, best cold scene, and many other awards. Jacqui has won countless scholarships due to her love and dedication in music and her passion drove her to earn a degree in Opera performance and Childhood Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. When Jacqui is not busy with music she enjoys working with children and passing on what her teachers have taught her. She runs her own children's music business and teaches a variety or arts, science, and other courses as a Preschool teacher.

Currently, Jacqui travels to Nashville to slowly create her music and is very excited to share it with others and continue to follow her calling. She hopes her debut single will help listeners to reminisce about the meaning of home and of family, as well as to give back to the people and place she calls home.
